How to Pick a Costume As a Balloon Artist

Apr 6, 2011 07:29 AM
  • Something that is easily replaceable - Parts of your costume will wear out and need to be replaced on a regular basis. Be sure that you find a costume that has parts that you can replace quickly and easily. At the very least, you should be sure to have spare parts for the costumes.
  • Make sure it fits your character - If you are going to be a balloon artist that is playing the part of a Jungle Guide on a safari, then you might consider adding a jungle hat or a fatigue outfit. If you are a young children's entertainer telling stories about farm animals, then wearing blue jean overalls and a straw cap may be more up your alley.
  • Meet your client's expectations - If you are entertaining children, your clients will be expecting colorful and fun costuming that will keep the children intrigued and paying attention.
  • Get Creative - Don't wear the same thing as the other entertainers in your area. Look different and be different than others and it will only help build your brand in a positive way to help you become the most well known and fun entertainer in your area. This can be great branding when done correctly.
